Gerry Dean Editorial offers editing services to a wide variety of clients looking to publish, submit, or distribute written work in print, online, or digitally.
Darina Mayfield (she/her) is a writer, editor, and the founder of Gerry Dean Editorial.
She's a graduate of the University of Washington's writing and editing programs and a participant in the Sourcebooks BIPOC editorial training program. She's a judge for the We Need Diverse Books mentorship program, and a former editorial assistant for the literary magazine Under the Gum Tree.
In addition, Darina is an alum of the Kenyon Review Writing Workshop, and a Roots. Wounds. Words. Storyteller of Color Fellow (Winter '24) and Writer-in-Residence (Fall '24). Her work has been published by the Urban Design Forum and the Hudson Valley Writers Guild, where she is a regular contributor.
She's an active member of the American Copy Editors Society, the Association of Writers & Writing Programs, and an instructor for the Editorial Freelancers Association.
